Abuse and it’s Effect to Health

Abuse is the bad or cruel treatment of someone or something, intentional harm of a person, to use one’s position wrongly.  Abuse is harmful, most times it can be intentional and or unintentional. In our community, abuse has become the other of the day, People don’t have regard for others.

Nevertheless, People should stand out irrespective of the situation they find themselves because this so-called act is harmful and unhealthy to humanity. People are been abused in one way or the other be it physical, sexual, emotional, child abuse to mention but a full. Something needed to done to combat this great illness in society.

People should not always look down their human right,  Always be in the position to speak for someone who is in this condition because end saving a life. Don’t stay silent, voiced out your abused state to the society, who knows someone can be help or angel sent to liberate you otherwise the pain could get worse and there could be dire consequences. Abuse is critical, and there are numerous forms of it.

Physical Abuse

This type of abuse in common mostly society is when someone is been intentional harms a person in form of superiority. Physical abuse can be violence, hitting, or punching. Individuals who physically abuse others normally do that in a hidden place so also hid their crime and the abuser ends up not letting the society what’s going on because of the abuse may be superior or in higher authority than the abuser.

Sexual Abuse

Sexual abuse can be seen in our society as the sexual exploitation of a person. A person who is being abused did not seek consent before the sexual act took place, it can include intercourse or any sexual advance. It is very necessary to seek someone’s consent or approval; without the consent, it means you are violating the person’s body before any sexual act can place, without the consent, it may end up abusing the partner. Its mostly found within people in a relationship or marriage. Consent is vital when it comes to sexual abuse. It’s wrong to engage in the sexual assault because it shows you don’t have any regard for your partner. It’s advisable to voiced out to people.

Emotional Abuse

Emotional abuse is described as an injury to the psychological capacity, substantial change in behavior, or emotional response. It occurs when a person is verbally attacking another individual, whether that’s a child or adult. They might be dismissive importance of the person or calling them names. Emotional abuse is tricky because it’s invisible. You can’t see the scars, but emotional abuse severely impacts a person’s self-esteem and ability to function. A person who is being emotionally abused doesn’t know how to attack back at times because their abuser assures them that they’re helpless.

Medical Abuse

Medical abuse is when a person communicates fake information about another person’s health, whether that’s a child or a senior. The person who is being medically abused isn’t taking sufficient healthcare because they’re deprived of it. Medical abuse is a form of neglect.

Neglect

Neglect can happen to someone of any age. It’s the failure to provide basic needs. Neglect usually happens in child abuse situations, where the parents or guardians fail to provide for the child’s basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, education, or medical care. Neglect can happen to older adults as well.

Child Abuse

Child abuse is the intentional or unintentional act of an adult to a minor, a person under the age of 18. It’s unbearable, and it happens to many children. Forms of abuse include emotional, physical, sexual, and neglect. Symptoms of child abuse include:

  • Withdrawal from activities with peers
  • Depression
  • Aggressive behavior
  • Absent from school
  • Running away
  • Rebellious behavior
  • Self-harm
  • Suicide attempts

If you suspect a child is being abused its vital to tell the authorities, such as child protective services. Do not be silent; you could save a child’s life.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence or is a cruel form of harm to a person. It can happen to anyone both adults or children. Sometimes spouses abuse each other or parents abuse their children. Domestic violence is very crucial, and it involves all forms of abuse discussed above. If you’re in a toxic domestic environment, it’s necessary to seek help.
